Top Course Masonry did a fantastic job with repairing my foundation at an AFFORDABLE price. They excavated all four walls of my house providing me pictures of the step-by-step process. They kept me fully informed of all the progress each day of the week and half long project and showed patience with all my questions and concerns. They fixed the deterioration in the foundation walls, provided a seal coating and an additional insurance layer of water repellent. They explained how to examine the whole ecosystem surrounding the home to divert water from entering. We addressed proper grading, landscaping, and water management. They also did a wonderful job installing 5 basement windows that were in need of significant masonry repair. I cannot say enough positive comments about the Top Course guys. I wish I could give 10 stars out of 5.. Outstanding people with a great work ethic, moral compass, and they also provided me with a good recommendation for a company to rebuild my stairs. 100% would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors!!Posted on Google Tom CitrinitiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a crack in our foundation that caused water infiltration issues to our finished basement. Paul and his team were able to fix it via injection. They were all very professional, and did exactly what they said they would do. Very pleased overall. Thanks!Posted on Google Shannon SitlerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an amazing experience with Paul and Top Course Masonry. We have an addition on our home with a block foundation and there was some shifting of blocks due to drainage/freeze and thaw cycles over many years. The shifting was pretty small and there was no evidence of structural issues yet, but we wanted to address it before it progressed. We had several contractors come and insist our only option was complete foundation wall replacement and give us quotes that were incredibly expensive. Paul came in with a more open mind and asked more questions, looked for closely at what the actual issue was and was able to confirm that the complete rebuild was not necessary yet and gave us some middle of the road options to consider. Paul was prompt and detail oriented and easy to schedule the work with. When it came to doing the work Paul's crew was also great. They made the foundation repairs, took care of the property and worked with a sub contractor to bring in landscaping components as needed. It was a pleasure work with Top Course Masonry and I'd recommend them for foundation repairs to anyone!Posted on Google Elise RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 100%+ satisfied! Moisture can slowly weaken masonry surfaces, damage finishes, and create expensive repair needs later. Our basement waterproofing in East Greenbush helps reduce long-term wear and protects the lower level.
Water behaves differently in every basement, depending on construction, grading, and drainage. We evaluate where moisture shows up and tailor the waterproofing plan to the specific areas that need attention.
Damp basements often feel colder, smell stale, and stay humid even when the rest of the home is comfortable. Waterproofing helps reduce the moisture load so the space feels cleaner and more stable.
We explain what we found, what we recommend, and what the work will involve. You’ll get straightforward communication from start to finish, so there are no surprises.
Heavy rain, spring thaw, and changing soil saturation can all impact basement conditions. That knowledge helps us deliver more effective basement waterproofing in East Greenbush.
Waterproofing performance depends on doing the details right. We focus on careful preparation, reliable products, and installation methods designed for long-term results.
Some homes need targeted sealing, while others need drainage improvements or sump support. We evaluate the full situation before recommending the best approach.
We keep the work area organized, protect surrounding spaces, and communicate clearly throughout the job. Our goal is to make the process smooth and results-driven.
Top Course Masonry Inc. offers long-term annual support options for homeowners who want continued confidence after waterproofing is completed. These follow-ups help confirm that repaired areas remain protected, moisture patterns haven’t shifted, and any drainage components continue operating properly. They’re also useful after major weather events, when new stress points can appear in older foundations. With ongoing support available, you can stay ahead of small concerns and protect the performance of your waterproofing investment.
We inspect the basement for dampness, staining, cracking, and signs of recurring seepage. This helps us determine where moisture is entering and how it’s affecting the space.
We recommend the best waterproofing approach based on your basement’s construction and the severity of the issue. You’ll get a clear scope, material overview, and expectations for results.
We complete the waterproofing work using proven methods and careful application. After the job is finished, we review the completed areas with you and explain what to monitor.
Many basements take on moisture due to saturated soil pushing water toward the foundation during storms and spring melt. Small cracks, porous masonry, and weak joints can become entry points over time. Drainage issues, like downspouts dumping too close to the home, can make it worse. An inspection helps identify the most likely cause and the right fix.
Yes, dampness along the perimeter often points to seepage at the wall-to-floor joint or nearby cracks. Even if you don’t see standing water, repeated moisture can stain surfaces and raise humidity. Waterproofing can target those entry zones and reduce recurring wetness. We’ll recommend the best method based on what we find in that area.
Crack sealing addresses a specific pathway where water is entering. Full waterproofing may include multiple measures, such as coatings, joint treatment, drainage improvements, or sump support, depending on the problem. The right level of work depends on how widespread the moisture is and what’s causing it. We’ll explain what’s necessary and what isn’t.
We look at staining patterns, where dampness appears, and whether moisture changes after rain events. Condensation often shows up on cool surfaces like pipes or windows, while leaks usually leave consistent marks on walls or floors. We also consider airflow, insulation, and basement temperature. This helps us recommend a solution that actually matches the cause.
The timeline depends on the basement size and the type of waterproofing system needed. Some projects focused on sealing and localized repairs can be completed quickly, while drainage or sump-related work can take longer. We provide a clear schedule before starting so you can plan around it. Our team works efficiently while keeping quality consistent.
Yes, finished materials can be damaged by moisture that builds behind drywall or under flooring. Waterproofing helps reduce the chance of hidden dampness that leads to odors, warping, and mold-related issues. Basement waterproofing in East Greenbush is especially important before remodeling or refinishing a lower level. It helps protect your investment in the space.
Yes, small leaks often indicate a bigger pattern of water pressure or drainage problems. Over time, minor seepage can cause staining, deterioration, and repeated cleanup costs. Addressing it early is usually more cost-effective than waiting for the issue to worsen. Waterproofing helps prevent the problem from spreading.
We recommend clearing stored items away from the walls and giving access to the areas where moisture is most visible. If you have shelving, boxes, or furniture in the basement, moving them back helps the work go faster and keeps belongings protected. We’ll confirm any specific prep steps during scheduling. The goal is an efficient project with minimal disruption.
